I began my role as Coordinator, Transfer Student Success in Student Learning and Transitions half way through the academic year in January of 2016, right at the beginning of second semester. Looking back now, the period from January – April seems to have passed in a blink of an eye. I learned a lot in that short time, about myself, my role, and about students I support.
In April, when the FW15 academic year came to a close, our team was asked to reflect on our respective roles, experiences, student interactions, and impact. In lieu of a formal yearly written report we were instead tasked with visual-story telling using VideoScribe and Infographics. The result, in my opinion, is a much more palatable, transferable, and engaging way with sharing with others what we do, and why we do what we do.
