With the strike changing our semester around, our Christmas break is now a much different time of year than in prior years. In some cases, the changes are simple. For example, maybe you’re going to be catching up on assignments over the break rather than catching up on sleep. As a student myself, I noticed that this Christmas break I have many assignment due directly after break, so that means that this Christmas break, I will be doing homework and beginning to study for tests. This Christmas break, which was previously a time in which you had a choice to work hard and get a head or enjoy the break and your time with your family, is now a mandatory work period for assignments and studying.
I want to spend time with my family and on my school work – I want to be able to do both!
If you’re like me, this Christmas break, you will need to be conscious about your time management. Personally, I have eight assignments due the week back from Christmas break. I’m going to have to manage my time effectively in order to get it all in.
Between friends, family, and food, the temptation to procrastinate will be all around you! Remember that your assignments will still be due when you come back from your break. Manage your time well and you will be able to do the work that needs to be done while having the break you deserve
